India by Eider

The Taj Mahal:
The Taj Mahal palace was built in the 1600s. Twenty thousand workers worked on it. It took twenty-two years to build.
The sari:
The "sari" is the traditional dress in India. It is for women. A sari is a very long piece of material. The sari is for special ocasions in India. They are often decorated with tiny mirrors.

Cricket:
Cricket is India´s national sport. In India the cricket is very popular. The British people brougth  this sport to India.

School:
In India children wear school uniform. At schools children speak English and Hindi, India´s official language.

Ganesh:
Gnesh is one of the gods in the Hindu religion. The Ganesh hase an elephant´s trunp, big ears and a fat stomach. He is the good fortune, education, wealth and wisdom. Most Indias are Hindu.

Sacred cow:
The India´s cow is scared according to the Hindu religion. Hindus respect cows and don´t eat beef. Cows are the simbol ofabundance.
